Just to update on this part, I’ve managed to source the part through Highbridge Somerset. They have the part in stock at Rapido in France, unfortunately it could take weeks to arrive. Total cost with delivery £150

Wow!
Can this be 3d printed CazPaul ?

I wonder if cheaper to buy in France? Plenty of Funsters going over at present.

I had no choice but to order it unfortunately. We can’t go far without water in the tank. I
just hope it arrives sooner than predicted, apparently there’s loads of people been waiting weeks for parts.

Bit late now since you have ordered, but was there not enough thread left on there to get a grip, maybe with some PTFE tape or even wrap it with self-amalgamating tape, or both.

3D printing isn’t a practical option for that unfortunately. It’s far to intricate and wouldn’t be strong enough. 😢

Just to answer some of the suggestions. My husband 40+ years in plumbing tried all the usual diy methods. Including trying to fit a different emptying system but had no luck. The part of the thread that was broken off was in bits, unfortunately after hours and days of frustration we were forced to bite the bullet and pay an exorbitant price to buy the part. I can assure you all if it could have been repaired it would have been.
Thank you all for your suggestions though.
