Pretty glad we booked the tunnel for Saturday and not our usual Sunday. Hopefully we can be well away from channel ports and north of France on Sunday.
However, will have to refuel and that's difficult on a Sunday sometimes. Might keep East so can pop into Luxembourg!
I think this is story from today and not an old one.

That's odd, I don't remember booking my trip to France - I say this because every time we've gone, the xxxxxx have gone on strike and we've struggled for fuel. I thought the did it just to upset me!

Hopefully I've misread the rather confusing article and when it says "on Monday" when posted at 10 am this morning, it doesn't mean next Monday but TODAY!

Just crossed into Spain from France this evening. Spending a wet night at Baztan. 500m altitude.
Got a trek of 7km to Arizcun tomorrow for some sun.
Anything to avoid conflict!

According to actu.fr the truckers are blocking the periphique at Caen and picketing oil depots at Caen, Le Harvre and Rouen today. It doesn't say how long this is likely to last.
