French aires

As Kups says.

We have just returned from two weeks in Brittany and Normand, using only Aires during our trip.

Just a quick note - we've come across a couple of French aires that DO close over the winter period (locked gates/barrier) but of course there's always another not too far away. We always have a reserve in mind if our target is not one we've used before.

Water is usually the problem although we did have one where someone came and turned it back on for us while we were there.

Well, we are one week into three in France just now. No problems with any aires being closed in Normandy, Brittany or the Atlantic coast so far. All services were working, except in one.

Much of the rest of France is, as always, closed though - “Annual Congres” until mid Feb or early March. But that’s part of the charm and we love it.

Been down through France and heading back up the last 3 weeks. Not found any closed all with water on even the one this morning with 2 in of snow, saying that there's far more options over here.
Enjoy you'll not have many issues even if one is closed there will be another not too far away.
