Arrived at Tamarit just after lunch and the heavens opened.
At 4.30pm the water washed our step away so we decided it was time to move.
Roll on 3 hours and at 7.30 pm people are still trying to get out and it looks like a few motorhomes and caravans will be stuck.
Not a nice experience and it happened so quick. Found a quiet pitch at the back for the night on higher ground.

That’s terrible, we left Agde just down from Montpellier this morning on the previous basis that rain was due today and travelled up to Saint Flour - wish we hadn’t as it’s precipitating heavily here but dry in Agde. There were flood precautions on the site but when it’s hot and sunny you can’t imagine what can happen over the course of a few hours.
Hope you get out ok.

Bit like the monsoon season bit over cast and warm then rain drops knocking you to the ground.
And a river running down the road

We are in Canet de Mar and the rain and wind last night was frightening. Woke up this morning to quite a few damaged tents etc. Was glad to be off the ground.
Looks like Taragona took the worst of it, washing cars away etc.
Heavy thunder and lightning storms here from 2.15am but no damage fortunately and now turning into quite a nice day

We kept the boat near Montpellier for over eight years. We used to sit on the aft deck under the Bimini and read books easily courtesy of the virtually continuous lightning flashes!

Please Sir..."What's a Bimini"?
