We are trying to decide whether to get a rigid or flexible solar panel fitted to the roof of the van. Which is the best Please.
Someone quoted a£400 for a flexible or £350 for a rigid. We can't do it ourselves.Thats for 150w

Flexible are easier to mount but usually less efficient due to them getting hotter as no air under them but the plus is that they are lower profile.
Rigid for me every time but not a huge difference

I've fitted two 100 watt flexible to our new Globecar and the roof as channels running longways.
I bought 8 brackets off eBay and fixed these down with sikafex, and put a blob of sika where the panels touched the roof, so now air can circulate beneath the panels.
