I'm in the process of fitting a Votronic 1212-50 B2B to my EBL119 equipped Globecar in anticipation of fitting a 200Ah KS Energy LiFePO4 under driver seat battery
I'm planning on getting an Auto electrician to wire the B2B through the EBL as per the wiring diagram below and the EBL119 wiring diagram.

Can anyone see any issues mounting the B2B on the plastic EBL cover? (Heat etc)
I've seen the smaller 1212-30 units mounted here?

I will need to raise the passenger seat bt 10-15mm using spacers to make sure the seat Base clears the B2B

Well it appears you have considered what could be the main issue.. heat build up and suitable ventilation.. that unit covers a fair portion of the power supply units upper slots..
My thoughts would be to try and find another location.. my Stirling 60A battery to battery certainly generates a fair bit of heat when feeding discharged lithium batteries
And raising the drivers seat by the amount you state may not sound a lot but will be noticeable.. it certainly was to me when I was fitting a swivel base on a transit seat... and I suppose strictly speaking you would need longer hi tensile bolts to re do the seat with...
but I do have little legs And you may not notice the increase.. (y)
Andy..

The alternative would be to mount on a wooden board bolted to the back of the passenger seat Base, similar to as I have done with the inverter on the drivers seat

Ahh sorry.. I read it you were working on the drivers seat.. the height increase may not be as critical on the passenger side..
I'm sort of going with the mount the battery to battery on the back of the seat plinth as you have the inverter.. if its not an issue when seats are swivelled..
Someone may have already mounted it on the power supply unit and be able to say its not a problem.. but me... dont like the thought ..
Andy..

I am not sure blocking the ventilation holes on the top of the EBL with another device that generates heat is a good idea. Either on of them might overheat. I would go with the back of seat idea.

OK, I had a go today at making a ply mount for the Votronic VCC1212-50 to mount it on the rear of the seat frame using some spare 9mm marine ply I had lying around

I cut a hole in it to aid venting

And cut 2 circular holes to let cables pass through

Mounted to rear of passenger seat frame facing outwards

The plastic louvered cover won't fit over this way
But it can also mount to the inside of the seat Base. More protected but not able to easily see the status lights

The plastic louvre cover will fit on in this orientated.
What is the opinion?
Any issues mounting the vcc1212-50 on its side?
