First time Moho owner at 70!

Welcome.
There are many solo van owners here on Fun as well as dog owners..
Consider being a subscriber (£20 a year) then you can attend some of the rallies and meets.
Ideal way to be among others, get advise, tips, help with the van etc and socialise... (y)

Do not let being solo stop you using the MH.

Best way to dip your toe in the water is join a FUNster organised Rallye - such as Swaffham in May, Stratford in April.

Nobody will blank you and plenty of people to help or offer advice if you have any problem or just need a hand. Don't feel pressured into joining in with everything at an event either, nobody will judge you. :giggle:
People commonly walk around with their own dogs and you will have instant conversations right there as well as feeling free to walk up to almost any MH and ask "what's that widget there for"...........

Then there are the Warners and AppleTree shows where the Funsters usually have their own designated area - cheap camping near major cities usually and you can again join us in the tea tent at your own pace....

I would definitely advise getting yourself and the hounds to a rally, as has been suggested the Swaffham Shindig is up soon and has plenty of attendees and activities to introduce you to the fun.

Cheers
Red.

But you do need to be a subscribing Funster to go to Motorhome Fun Rallies. It's to do with Fun's Public Liability Insurance.

Hi I bought a mh to be able to go to dog shows. I have 2 small dogs.
Would like to do more but unsure about lone travelling.
Hi there, another solo 67 year old lady, just about to embark on her 2nd mh, after a previous disaster with one last year. I, NOT lonely, just retired, and travelled around the world for the past 3 months, but now back and feel very much LONELY, with this terrible weather sitting in my garden room looking into my garden. So I am buying another mh, to find friends and like minded people to travel with or meet up with. I will say, I do not have a dog, and wont purchase one either, but I've no problems with them either. Thank you so much Caroline

Good thing about travelling solo is there are no arguments about where your going

If there are you will always win one way or the other
:welcome4:

Hi,

We became first MoHo owners at 74 and 72. Had it for a year now and still learning.

Just making some new curtains for it this morning. Looking for a new brighter carpet (hate that dark grey). Only drawback so far...... getting in and out of the bloomin' french bed in the middle of the night. I'm on the inside and at 5', it can be challenging..... Oh and a no stopper who broke our drivers wing mirror. :madder: Enjoy!! w2f
