It was just mentioned on the TV what was your first gig, me and Chris got to talking...

Mine was Ultravox 1980 at the Liverpool Empire, 14 years old (on my todd), dropped off and picked up by the "Old Man".

Chris' was Showaddywaddy around 1976 at the ABC Cinema in Chester, 13 years old (with best mate Sue, still in touch), dropped off and picked up by the "Old Man".

What was your first gig..?

Cheers
Red.

Lonnie Donegan. Brighton Hippodrome 1964 when I was 19.

The Animals at Sheffield City Hall 1967(?)
There was strictly no smoking in the City Hall but them buggers especially Alan Price, were smoking like chimneys on stage. They were good though

Deep Purple supported by Free, Sunderland "Rink" Some time in the late 60's. Still the loudest gig I've ever been to.

Use to go and see bands every week, could have been The Kinks in 1965/66, around the same time saw The Who, Fleetwood Mac, Pink Floyd, The Byrds.
I would have loved to have seen those bands back then, but I wasn’t born yet:rofl::rofl:

Mine was, The Commodores at the Lyceum in London, circa …1978/79. Honestly can’t remember the exact date, just the buzz of the gig. Happy Days
