Filled Brunhilde for the first time since the initial fuelling on purchase date of 21st April. Same routine, filling only to the first 'click' cutoff to get as accurate a fuel consumption figure as possible. 381 miles driven and 31.35mpg, despite some leaden footed driving and too high revs in the first few journeys, plus a couple of long'ish tickover periods whilst various problems with the Van were resolved. Quite happy with this figure, just need to maintain a light right foot now and hope that the engine continues to loosen up [5 years old tomorrow and still has only 9157 miles on the clock].

Less successful outcomes on this weekend's trip included me being too heavy handed with the raising of the drop down bed this morning and blowing the motor fuse that can only be accessed by leaning through the lounge window to reach the housing [probably not good news that I'm getting quicker replacing these fuses and cranking the bed by hand; need to be gentler!].

Waeco Reversing camera image won't display on the Pioneer screen. It had a funny 5 minutes on Friday evening where the image was barely distinguishable but now the screen is entirely blacked out so I suspect there's either a loose connection or the camera is gubbed. I've tried every software/System Video & Camera setting I can find on the Menus, changing each one from 'Auto' to PAL then NTSC etc in turn, but none of the manual changes get the camera to put an image on screen. I can't see any fuses in the EBL99 Electroblok, so if anyone has had similar problems and solved them, I'd appreciate any technical expertise! Failing that, I'll get Brunhilde booked in for an overhaul and possible new camera.

sounds very much like the camera is dead. The nature of cameras on vehicles does mean they are prone to leak and fail. On a positive, the cable to the camera is likely fine and ends within inches of the camera. Often inside a cupboard on a coachbuilt and in the doorframe on a PVC. So replacing is relatively easy and quick

One more thing to check though is that the sun shade over the camera has not dropped down covering the lense

Thanks very much. I can see the camera lens and I gave it a gentle rub with a microfibre cloth [huge spider's web last week gave a very strange image on screen!]. The camera enters the Van somewhere behind the rear bathroom wall panel [no obvious signs, and I don't want to start dismantling bathroom cabinets and associated fittings in a remake of Bernard Cribbins 'Right said Fred' record, so I should probably book it into the local repair shop for someone who knows what they're doing to sort out!

Had a similar issue with my rear view / reversing camera. Blank (blue) screen on the control set. All the options worked on the set but the screen remained blue. Camera had packed in.

'Just a thong at twilight, when the lights are low ...' :dance2:My version of the Egyptian sand dance precedes this sentence. Eat your heart out Wilson Betty & Kepple ...

Meanwhile, there's a dead camera to get sorted out!
