Does anyone know if I'm allowed to carry 3 cylinders of propane gas rather than just the two my locker allows? Hope to head to France soon and wanted to carry a spare well secured 6kg in case we ran out. This would bring my total to about 26kg. Staying off grid for a fortnight and the fridge seems to be extra hungry.

Where are you going to carry it? In a vented locker, if secured, then it’s just like your spare cylinder…

That amount is illegal if you are in spain. 2 cylinders allowed maximum in a vehicle even if a motorhome. Can't remember the max capacity of gas though?

Planning France not Spain via Irish ferries Dublin Cherbourg. We use the oven a fair bit so that is gas heavy too. Extra cylinder will be beside locker in ventilated garage

Properly secured upright surely not a problem? I carry 250 litres approx when full - four tanks.
