- I picked up my first camper van on Monday 16th May 2022
Hi - I have just acquired a Wheelhomeconverted camper van - think it was converted some time ago.. but seems fairly standard Wheelhome from what I can see!! Anyway, a couple of things I am struggling with being a new comer to campervanning!!:
1. I cannot find access to the water tank.. but at the back of the van, when I lift the tailgate there is a thinnnish blue pipe with a little tap on it that seems to be for filling the tank... but have no idea how to connect that tap to a water supply - are there compatible taps on camp sites to enable me to fill the tank using that pipe? If so, is there another way to fill the tank if necessary?
2. Am I unable to access the water tank, is it concealed behind the units?
3. Electric supply - is the leisure battery always available or do I have to turn it on... the internal strip-lights seem to come on when I switch them on - are they running off the main van battery or leisure battery. So, for example, does the fridge have its own on/off switch?
Odd question, I know, but if anyone can help I will be very grateful and any other pointers that anyone can give for the Wheelhome would be very much appreciated.
My first trip in it next week-end.
Thanks in advance!!
