Just received the recall notice for the brake line retaining clip Fiat ref:6255.

If this affects your van and you are in or around Manchester, Motorsave Swinton are a Fiat Service Centre and cover this and other recalls.

They took over the work from the Trafford park centre last year so i presume that's why they are not on the list provided with the recall letter.

I had the last recall carried out there and found them to be very efficient,i have just phoned regards the latest recall and booked in for Next week.

What age is your MoHo ? Ours is a 2015 65 registered one and according to ‘tinternet there are no recalls . Do they only apply to letter models ?

Thanks for the heads-up re Motorsave. I used Oldham Motors a couple of years ago for the EGR recall and they signed the job off having done f***-all; wouldn’t go near them again.

Hi Rapides, try Stoneacre in Hyde I find them ok they have done my first service and recalls , 18 plate, have had no problems with them see by your post code you are closer than me .

Just had my recall today.

There have been threads running on this recall since the end of September when soreeyes posted something that caught my attention. We had ours checked in October. The official recall notices have been a long time coming out which makes me think they are not treating it as a matter of immediate urgency.

Just had my recall today.

Same here. "You are requested to make the earliest possible appointment with a Fiat Professional Retailer .."

Mine is 17 reg and this is the 3rd Recall. I am getting fed up with Fiat fitting substandard parts.

I will look under the bonnet when the weather is dry to see if the clips show any signs of failure. If they look OK this recall inspection can wait until the annual service, due in a few months.

Recall letter arrived on the doormat 15 minutes after I’d taken a look under the bonnet at the clips. Time for a call to Stoneacre or Motorsave.

Getting my 2019 model done early March, service department said they had done almost 100 and not found a single one faulty, hopefully I won't break their record.

I was trying to keep them secret!

Used them before for a recall. Got the brake clip recall letter yesterday afternoon so called them straight away. First available appointment was April 8th . I said i hoped to be in Spain by then .

They asked if I could be there before 9.30 this morning to check if my vehicle was affected so I made sure I was.there just before 9.00

Checked the vehicle , luckily it was not affected so the MH was back in sturage by 10.00

Fantastic service .

Worst dealers I know. wanted to charge me £25.00 just to register my, at the time, brand new vehicle on the Fiat register It's also one of the tightest spaces to get into with a car never mind a MH

Glad yours is ok and like i posted earlier it's best to it checked as soon as possible as it could be serious......luckily mine was spotted before it could cut into the pipe

Got mine checked on Friday. Entered garage at 12:04, handed over keys, sent wife text “arrived at garage”. Received keys back at 12:06, sent wife text “leaving garage”. Two hour round trip for two minutes in the garage. But that is MoHo all checked out, hab and cab serviced all ready for the new season.

Bit worrying about the Oldham Motors comments, we're taking ours there on Friday morning , Didn't know Stoneacre in Hyde had a big enough workshop for motorhomes otherwise would have booked in there as it's only about 15 minutes away from us. I would check availability with them and cancel a Oldham, but I've already cancelled twice in the last three weeks due to hubby being in hospital.

Surely they can check the pipes without it gojng into the workshop. If it needed any work doing it would need to be rebooked for work.

I had a similar experience... I was given a cup of tea upon arrival and before I had finished drinking it I was told all done no problems. I was at Adams Morey Southampton ...parking was so difficult due to lack of space they told me to block the workshop entrance.
