Fiat Ducato Long arm mirror

Having had my nearside mirror demolished whilst in Morocco the replacement that I ordered off ebay has arrived and it only has 1 wire and connector. The smashed one has 3 wires with connectors.
Have I bought the wrong one or will the new one be OK and connect up?

Sounds like your old mirror was heated and also contains the radio aerial. The single wire will be the indicator. If the bulb is orange and small it is the wrong wattage and will cause an error message.
Heated mirrors are available on eBay but I am unsure about the radio aerial.

The mirror you have bought is also not electrically adjustable.

Sounds like you bought a manual rather than electric mirror and the wire is just for indicator repeater

When I had to replace my near side mirror, I could not find a source of reasonable priced, fully functional, replacements, so bought a cheapie off eBay, and transferred the PCB and wiring from the damaged mirror to the new one. It has worked a treat for the past couple of years!

Do you need a whole mirror ? Was it all demolished ??

Few weeks ago had a mirror clash with some 4x4 down in Kent after 3,000 miles trouble free in France and Spain.
I managed to get away with a new indicator and rear mirror case.. Total £30 off ebay,.,

It was shattered into a thousand pieces including the protective cover so I need a complete unit. The mechanic in Morocco managed to glue and wire together a frame which allowed a standard mirror to be attached to and was ok for the rest of our holiday but thanks anyway.
