I know that fiat's 2007 onwards had a draft problem at the front and there was a plastic blanking plate that fiat sold to help solve the problem.the part fitted underneath near the petrol flap.does the now latest fiats still have the problem??

Don't know but this is what the vents (not blanking plates) look like on an X250 - in situ and removed.

Yes thats like my older 2008 kontiki was like does the very latest ducato still have this problem ..??

Whereabouts are they located?

Thanks

We have a 2018 Ducato, not noticed any draughts at all inside the van and we have been in it on some very windy days. If it’s dry tomorrow, I’ll have a look underneath and see what the vents look like

We have a 2017 Ducato and I have noticed a draught from around the driver and passenger seats.

Our previous X290 Coachbuilt had the blanking plates but our X290 PVC does not.

We had draughts in both of our coachbuilt X290s (cab area) but the PVC seems to be missing them entirely.

The draughts on our last coachbuilt were predominantly located around the seat bases and the seatbelt appertures on the B-pillars. After a bit of investigation I found that there were very slight openings between the cab and the conversion join so I injected it with half a can of automotive expandable foam and it reduced the problem by 80%.

I now have a very slight draft originating from both of my PVC seatbelt appertures but that's due to the bare metal behind the plastic which chills the air and subsequently creates a slight draft. I intend to line the metal and this will resolve the issue.

I think it depends on the converter and if they leave them exposed. Our first Hymer a 2008 low profile on an X250 never had any draughs.
