Fiat ducato 1997 reverse lights not working (1 Viewer)

Hi All. New to this.i have just purchased a 1997 fiat ducato 2.5TD. The reverse lights have been put on a switch. When you put it in to reverse gear the lights don't work. Anyone have any suggestions what could have me fix this. Thanks

Needs rewiring back to the reverse switch on the gearbox.
Chances are the switch has failed and wiring it through a seperate switch is a workaround bodge.
Look around the gearbox for a terminal with no wires. The switch will have a spade terminal and a hexagonal body.
