Thicko question here.
i need to ring Fiat assist, and the number in the book is 00 800 342 800 00
Now what exact number do I ring ? What are the 00 numbers on each end?
want to ring from England, so not wanting an international call.
have tried several combinations, but just goes straight to cut off.
Help anyone.
thanks

That is the number and you do use all those zeros at the beginning and end, I’d did when we last called them.

I have 0333 202 1872 listed in addition to the number you have quoted.

00 800 numbers don't work on some networks EE is one of them.

These are the numbers I have.

00800 3428 1111

0333 202 1873

00 39 02 4441 2160 (Milan)

Thank all, very helpful as always.
got through now, estimated arrival of patrol 17.55, very impressed👍
it was the two lots of OO OO numbers each end of what looked like a normal 0800 number that threw me.

Does Fiat Assist only cover you while the van is under warranty? I assume thats the case and I have breakdown with both AA for UK and Comfort however on the only occasion I called them they were very helpful.

Ours covered us for 3 years and the warranty was for 2 years.
You need to check as they often change it, previous van it was only 2 years.

I have done a bit more digging on the internet. If you search for Camper Assist, which is backed by the Fiat Professional network, you get the 00800 3428 1111 number. If you search for the Fiat Customer Care or Customer Services you get the 00800 3428 0000. At a guess they both lead to their multilingual call centre but the 1111 number takes you to the camper section whereas the 0000 appears to cover cars as well.

I got 5 years recovery with the 5 year extended warranty.

I got the 0333 202 1873 number from Fiat, I think it puts you through to an English speaking agent in Milan.

The Fiat site tells you it’s a European Toll free number, if as some have suggested it doesn’t work on some networks it’s a fault on thier network.

The other number is Fiat Assist so the hand book you have is probably a non camper assist number see the two images below or type in Fiat assist or Fiat Camper Assist.

Many contact centres have different numbers it helps identify what you are calling for so if it’s a camper use camper assist. Not the general Fiat assist.

Hope you got it sorted, what was the problem?

Yes thanks, been bit of a nightmare. Engine management light came on, with the usual check engine message. With both the main dealer in Bury St edmunds, and Guest trucks in Thetford, not currently having any working diagnostic equipment working, and three other Fiat workshops over a wide area, not being able to look at the vehicle for at least three weeks, was a bit frustrating to say the least. So, rang Fiat Assist, and they came to me👍
As suspected, a faulty particulate pressure sensor. Great! These are apparently on a 2 month wait🙈
Now, the vehicle is running absolutely fine, no drop in mpg, no loss of performance, no sign of ever going into limp mode eTC.
Now, do I park it up for two months, or use sparingly whilst it’s running alright?

That's a pain, can fiat advise you whether you can still use your van?

I’ve the same problem. Amber warning light on, and “check engine“ message.
It happened as I was driving onto a field at The Latitude Festival in Suffolk last week.
Decided to risk it and drive over 200 miles to my home in The Peak District.
Got home without any problems, and the van is now booked into my nearest Fiat agent in Hyde, Cheshire for 22nd August.
I’m wanting to use it next week to go to Cropredy (another music festival) do I risk it again?
It’s a concern that there is a waiting list for Fiat Parts.

when I got that it was a DPF sensor, Fiat Prof garage had speared in stock. Fiat Assistance sent RAC and their diagnostic reader confirmed what it was so didn’t need Fiat diagnostic. RAC did tell me safe to drive unless changed to red warning light.
