Hi from wet, and windy Tarragona.
The inclement weather has made me consider having a small porch. None of the inflatable ones like Kampa Air 260 are suitable, because of the position of the habitation door, gas vents and garage on our Burstner Travel Van.
Being a couple of old ladies, we wondered if the Fiamma Ultralight is manageable and would not damage the roll out or cassette on the F45s. It looks quite flimsy in the videos and of course the two young people are both tall, and experienced. I live in fear of the awning being ripped off the side of the van.
I suppose something freestanding like the Vango Air Hex Hub or the Berghaus Air Shelter could be an alternative.
Please let’s have your thoughts on any of the above mentioned products.
Thankyou

hi
we have the vango hex, and find it great, it is very easy to pump up, and also to let down. the great thing about it for us is it is free standing.
and if its a bit chilly we can still use it for alfresco dining etc. they are quite cheap about £350

Thanks TCG.We looked at the Hex and wondered if we could place it in front of our habitation door. Where is your located?
We were disappointed that it had mesh and not plastic windows like the HexAway.
Do you still feel protected from the wind?

if the weather is not to good we tend to open the wind out awning half way and then position the hex so everything under cover.
with regard to the mesh, yes it certainly keeps the wind off, and we quite like the fact that you can still have air circulation

Thanks for the advice.
Is there anyone out there with experience of the Berghaus air shelter?
