Fiamma ultrabox alternatives?

Just got back.from France and having only taken the kids bikes off once, thinking a rear box would be far more useful (inflatable kayaks etc).
Are there any alternatives to the ultrabox folk could me know about?

I'm after one so if you know of one up for grabs, let me know.

They come up second hand from time to time, that's how I got mine and at a fraction of the cost of a new one.

You could look at the biggest lockable tool box you can find. Then fix that to the bike rack.

Alternatively, a tow bar mounted box which will overcome any weight issues.

We use one of these, great bit of kit but I think they will only fit a Fiamma bike rack as the straps are in exactly the right places for that.

It's just a fabric box so not secure. How much are your kayaks?

Van doesn't have a tow bar, so a costly exercise for a tow mounted one although, that would be my preferred option

This what I made for mine, we have two paddle boards and all our wet gear in the box.

Made the frame out of aluminium box section
