So.... I have a Fiamma rack on the back of my Bailey Autograph. We use it for our tandem, and one of my solo bikes. The tandem is electrified, and despite taking off the battery and front wheel is pretty heavy and awkward!
I'm having increasing difficulty heaving it up on to the rack, and thought a towbar mounted unit, being a lot lower, would be more future-proof! I'd prefer Fiamma, as I could presumably use the existing tandem rail, but can't seem to find one. Do they exist? Or if not, any other recommendations/advice?

You may, or may not, have seen this current thread that will probably be of interest to you given your motorhome model!

We've bought the Westfalia version, very solid and well made. See https://www.witter-towbars.co.uk/bike-racks/bikelander-led-towball-mounted-tilting-2-bike-carrier

Folds up for storage too. Not Fiamma of course...

I have a tow bar mounted scooter rack made by Dave Cooper trailers.
It is the type that fit's to the tow ball flange with 2 nuts and bolts. Able to carry 115 to 120 Kgs and also has a ramp and number plate board.
Used once for 3 weeks ish i have been adised by my dear dear wife to sell it and get a trailer for our scooter (means i can get a bigger scooter:LOL::LOL:.)
If you think it could be of interest to you i could send photos for your look see.

Yeah I’ve heard of that new. ZX10R scooter too 😂😂😂

We have the Fiamma Lift 77 which is a doddle to load and would probably be a direct fit to your existing mounting points

This seems like the best solution, and there's one available second hand. But it's the "probably" that concerns me, having little or no idea how they attach! I would hope that all Fiamma racks have the same footprint, but...
The rack currently on my Bailey has two horizontal bars, 73cm long, and 45cm apart, both measurements taken to their extreme ends. Are these the same as on their lift version?
And thank you Gaston aires for the Thule photos, but they don't make a tandem rail, as far as I've been able to discover 🙁

Thinking out of the box (or maybe just out of me box!(y)) could you fit / bolt appropriate lengths of aluminium angle to the existing tracks if they don't slide out wide enough for a tandem?

The rails are fully adjustable for extra tandem width. Easy peasy.

Just checked with a Fiamma, dealer and the lift model has totally different mounting points, so not compatible. Gaston aires , the tandem rail I use is two metres long. Would your rack adjust to that length? And if so, how much would you want for it?

I don’t want to sell it. We use it. It was just to show you. Max adjustment between hubs would be 1.5 mts.
