We’re looking to get a Fiamma storage box to provide a bit more space inside the MH. Just wondering how easy/diuficult/impossible it is for someone with basic DIY skills to attach the box to the rear of our Elddis Majestic 120. Any thoughts gratefully received .

If you already have the bike rack it’s a very simple job and if you buy second hand chances are the holes for the u bolts will line up.

We had one on our previous Elddis Accordo 120.
If you have a bike rack fitted it is very simple to attach it using the "U" bolts supplied.
Our box was second hand so I had to drill some new holes in it to suit the bike rack.
A 20 minute job from start to finish.
If you don't have a bike rack I would assume you will need to have one fitted.

If you don’t have a bike rack fitted, Fiamma do a fitting kit that bolts through the back wall.

A bit of research is needed. Before fitting the rack to the rear of your motorhome check where the strengthened areas are. In my motorhome the rack is specific for the the model of motorhome and has to be fitted quite high to match those areas.
I bought a used Fiamma 500 box to fit on my rear mounted cycle rack (Autotrail Delaware) knowing the the cycle rack is a Thule. Neither the upright bars nor the hinged base matched the pre-drilled holes and strengthened mouldings of the box. I could probably have got away with drilling new holes in the box but the special brackets supplied with the box fitting kit would not have fitted. I took most of my rack off just leaving the two vertical bars which are screwed into the rear of the motorhome. I bought an old Fiamma cycle rack locally off eBay (£55😱) and took it apart. I shortened the hinged bars and used a bike holder to extend the rack and one to stabilise the original bars. The Fiamma hinged bars exactly fit the holes for the round U-brackets that came in the box fitting kit, and the largest 90 degree brackets fit exactly around the bike holders.
It is not that pretty and I have some surplus holes but all is hidden behind the box and I am very happy with the result. I also chose to do this as I wanted to locate the hinged base of the bike rack higher than the original to clear the rear mounted spare tyre.
Now I just have to get RoadPro to sort out my reversing camera to see beyond the box🙁.

I have a Fiamma 500 box on my CI Mizar GTL Living. Its attached to the bike rack. I regularly have to take it off and put it back on, as it gets in the way of the toilet cassette which can't be taken out with the box in place. Its a total pain having to do this but I have become quite quick at taking it off and putting it back on

I have used them for years. I now have a 500 I’m happy I use large cable ties on top of the fitting kit a few extra connected do it no harm. More secure. Once it’s on its on no bikes 🚲 for me. 👍🥃😷
