Anyone use one of these or similar - crank handle lowers the bike for easier loading as e bikes can be fairly heavy to lift high - or are there any other options you know of.

I have just ordered one to be fitted in two weeks time. I can let you know then.

We had the Thule motorised version. Not sure I would recommend it as the small motor really strained to lift the two ebikes. However, it's a strong well made product but pricey.

Sure that techno did a mod on his using a electric hand drill
We had one but sold the MH before could do the mod that’s how I know looked good

We have just replaced or high mounted rack with a used Lift 77.
It does make loading bikes a lot easier.
On ours the loading position is still about metre or so above the ground so you still have to lift them into position.
Winding it up or down with a couple of ebikes on is not really much of a problem.

I can’t fit one on my Elddis 285 because of the toilet door being at the back.
Has anyone got a solution?
Maybe a drawbar mounted rack?

Collected the van yesterday with the new rack fitted. Works perfectly and makes loading the bikes a breeze. I am about to find a suitable socket for my electric drill though as it is a lot of winding. I have not yet worked out the best way to lock the bikes to the rack though.

Did you find a suitable socket?

Yes, I cant remember which one but something like a 12mm, I just checked the ones in the box. To be honest, I never use the electric, its really easy to use the supplied handle (which the magnetic lock is remarkable on as I discovered after a 300km drive and it was still attached!)

I had this rack fitted to my Bessacarr E480G with a fancy rear end making the rack sit too high to lift the bikes into. It worked fine throughout the 8 years I used it. No problems at all and very easy to manually lift the 2 bikes up, not electric ones. Mine sat level with the top of the roof which obscured the reversing camera but I could check on the bikes easily using it. I used a cable lock through the frames and around the rack.
