Good afternoon all,
I have just purchased a Fiamma F45 awning for my High top Transit van. The van is a 58 plate.
Can anyone recommend the correct fitting kit as the seller I purchased it off dousn't seem to have a clue lol.

Many thanks in advance for any assistance you may be able to offer.

Keith

How high top is it? For my H3 extra high plastic Vauxhall Movano roof, I used 18211NOVA "Fibreglass Roof Adapter Bracket". That might work for you, but "high top" covers a multitude of sins. A picture might help. Do you know if yours is H2 or H3? What material is it made from? Steel/fibreglass/plastic?

Hi cmcardle 75
I'm not sure if it's H2 or H3, its metal though, please see image.
Thanks

Definitely H3.

18208NOVA I think is the correct one. 17790NOVA and 18216NOVA might also work for you. Read the instructions and see if they look plausible compared with what you've got.

I'd think you could even made the 18211NOVA work. I'd fill the ridges on the brackets with tonnes of Sika, or your favourite adhesive (making sure everything is spotlessly prepared in accordance with the instructions).

A little more help required please!!!
The 18208NOVA looks spot on however the kit only has 2 x 400mm brackets and my awning (2.6mtrs) has 3 support posts, surely I will need 3 brackets ?
Now I'm confused again :unsure::unsure:

The bracket kits usually have much more substantial brackets that don't need a centre mounting. They're often 400mm wide instead of 100mm of the free brackets. I'm actually surprised that a 2.6m awning would even have a centre one at all. All the loads are taken at the end anyway, where the mechanisms are located.

where did you get the awning, would you recommend the supplier, Im after similar
thanks

I've just had a 3.75m Dometic awning fitted to my Citroën Relay...
It only has three brackets despite being 2m+ longer.
Hope this eases your fears.

John Cross is a good source of advice for Fiamma... and 10% Funster discount.

Thanks a lot for the imput, it really does set my mind at ease.I got the awning off ebay, ishop247-net.
I think I will purchase the pair of 400mm brackets, cut 1 in half, then have the 400mm in the middle and the 2 x 200mm at each end, hopefully that's hour do the trick.
Thanks again

I wouldn't do that. All the load is at the end where the spring suspension is mounted. If the brackets are 400mm it is because the manufacturer did the load calculations and testing for that width.

The 400mm in the middle will be doing almost nothing to support the awning and the 200mm will be overloaded. If you're desperate to have a middle bracket, buy another set and take one from that, but you'd be wasting your money and it would be even harder to align. Your awning length is at the short end, as well. Mines a 3.5m Zip and it is just fine on two wide brackets.

Point taken thank you, I just wanted to make sure that it was secure, I got confused with the awning having 3 support points clearly marked.
I will now purchase the 2 x 400mm and place 1 either end.
Thanks for setting me straight (y) (y)
