I had meant to mention this sooner but forgot all about it until just fiddling about at the back of the van!

We have a two bike Fiamma rack and last Autumn in Normandy when putting the second bike on and fitting the crossbar bracket I noticed the strap didn't seem to tighten up properly, although it was still working. On a closer look I was pretty horrified to see that the pin that holds the clip fastener was about to drop out. Had this happened on the road it would have been a disaster!

On long journeys I always use an additional strap, but on short hops I'm too lazy!

I'm just about to fix this one, probably fill the hole with some araldite.

Two pics, as it should look and how it shouldn't.

Many thanks I will check mine and put some araldite in the holes.

A timely warning, I will check ours and maybe melt the hole over a bit with my soldering iron to close it up a bit as I wouldn't be convinced Araldite would get a good enough hold on that type of plastic as it feels quite "slippy". Thanks again though (y)
