Returning to a motorhome.
I have the door in the rear of my Autocruise Vista. I am looking for an awning to fit on the rear of the van. I can't afford new, so looking for a used one in good nick. Cheers John.

@John Mee - you mention a Fiamma in your heading so I assume you are looking for just a wind out canopy rather than a full awning. If I am wrong have you considered having an awning rail fitted and then using a lightweight porch awning or similar. Just an idea.

If you want one that you'll only use in a campsite so can peg/tie it down, then you could get a caravanstore (manual roll out) one rather than a wind out one, these are lot cheaper so you could buy new rather than try to get a good second hand awning as they are pretty rare beasts.

What I'm looking for is something very quick and easy to use and doesn't need to be stored in the van, mainly as a sun shade for the missus, as she is sensitive to too much UV.

Ok John then I think Minxy Girl has the best solution for you. Once you have an awning rail in place you could slot in the caravanstore version and I have seen these left in place on the rail even when travelling although I’m not sure if that is recommended or not.

If you use a caravanatore version, add an awning bead lock either end and it cant slide out by accident

Hi I have a 1.9 metre Caravanstore for sale used once. Comes with all accessories and a tie down kit. I want £160 for it.

Hi, I'm interested. I will need to mount it across the back of my van so I don't want anything sticking out. Can you confirm the width of the pouch that it fits into - is this 1.9m or is that the actual roll out canopy? I have looked at tracking that I'll need to fit too, on Ebay, but am not sure which I would need. A link to the right stuff would be useful. And finally the door is in the back of the van so it would be 2.5m from the ground. Apart from needing something to stand on to reach it, would this be a problem? I can't really see it would be as the wind out Fiamma's are mounted high up. Cheers John.

Hi John

I will check dimensions etc and take some more photos tomorrow and let you know.

Regards

Paul

Hi John

Here are some pictures showing dimensions. The maximum height of the support legs is 1.90 m.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you need any further info.

Cheers

Paul

Ok, that all seem good, there is now just the problem of how to get it here and how much that would cost. Is courier cost expensive from the island? The cost is already more than we were hoping to pay, but it looks to be just what we want.

I would have to check courier costs. The Island is regarded as part of the UK (Postcode) and Royal Mail and others deliver with no premiums. We will be in the Exeter area on 4th July if that would be another possibility, depends on when you need it.

If you could check prices that would be good. I use interparcel.com
