Morning all, off to a wedding in Portugal in August. Would any kind Funster care to offer a Brittany Ferries discount code for the Portsmouth to Santander crossing?

what prices you looking to get there with a discount?im sure i looked a standard crossing one way was £800 so i choose the tunnel.

I suspect for August you might now struggle to get the cheaper "economy" option ferry.

Also I also suspect the general "Cruise" ferry will be pretty busy as well.

It's supply and demand I am afraid. :(:(

ps: The discount only applies to the ferry fare not the cabin costs.

Ive already booked tunnel as prices of ferry i can do both ways for less than one way,But always wanted to give my kids the experience of a ferry,we would of probaly all been sick as a dog.

Managed to get a crossing on the Portsmouth Santander route on the “budget” ferry, one way only, outside 2 berth cabin, 6.5m motorhome £650 with Barclaybasher’s kind assistance. Not a great deal of choice of crossings, most fully booked but it was a late decision. We were going to fly but similar costs for a 5 day break with flights/hotels/ car hire etc vs extended motorhome tour of Portugal/Spain/France!

@dbw Hi Dave
I like the small ferry but there will be less to do for yourself and the kids.
Take 2 pin adaptors for chargers for phones, tablets etc
I take a kettle, tea, coffee, milk for the cabin, you might want to take snacks as well
At the moment it's cheaper to pay for stuff on board in Sterling - better exchange rate and saves using Euros
Often there is little to see on the journey, hopefully it will be calm though.
I've been lucky not had a rough crossing yet and in August you should get some sunshine
I always check the weather before - you can't do anything about it though

Anyway you'll have saved 3 days of "Are we there yet":)

Thanks for the advice, kettle sounds like a good idea! Luckily, the daughter is 33 and doesn’t tend to travel with us anymore so only the co-pilot to keep occupied.......
