Ferry Santander to Portsmouth

Hi we have previously got the long crossing Portsmouth to Santander but our usual route is Eurotunnel, however we are on holiday at the moment and contemplating returning via Brittany Ferries to save the long drive back to Calais. So a couple of questions
Do they stamp your passport at Santander and do all the necessary checks so you just drive off the boat at Portsmouth and you are on your way home, or is there checks at both ends.
Also last time a member kindly gave me a code to get a discount, can you get a discount from Santander to Portsmouth or is it only available on the outward journey.
If it’s possible to use a code from Santander is there anyone kind enough to let me use theirs.
Look forward to your replies and if anyone is interested it’s very hot at the moment.

Yes unfortunately there are checks at both sides and have sent you a pm

If you are asking about the checks because of the 90/180 allowance they only check/stamp at Santander and are not that interested,done it twice,over allowance both times no problem.
The 90/180 is of no interest to Border Force in the U.K. they do of course check your Passport and search the MH for Illegals.
