Hi has anyone used the crossing from Civitavecchia to Barcelona with their motorhome? What are the ferries like? Cabins etc. Any tips for cheapest fares (one way) do’s and don’ts? Any advice gratefully received. Thanks

If I remember rightly the ferry from Civitivecchia calls at Sardinia, can't remember which port.By coincidence I have been researching Sardinia to Spain this afternoon. It looks like Grimaldi Lines go to Barcelona but only about one sailing a week (Late May). We used various companies like Grimaldi and Corsica ferries five years ago and actually found them ok as long as you allow for a more laid back attitude.
On average we are seeing prices of about £180 one way including a cabin at the moment.
