Surely that was the right decision, he's proven that he hasn't got what it takes to carry further on without causing danger to others. It takes more than riding ability

And MV Augusta don't want him next year.

You must know how John Surtees was "vetted" by the mother of the owner before he got his ride at MV, good to see the same values apply now.

The bloke can't be wired up right to pull that stunt.

Since 1964 Gosh that makes me feel old.
There's no place on a race track for his kind of behaviour & no excuse for it.
Me thinks he needs some anger management sessions with a shrink but, should never be on a race track again.

Good riddance - Looking at his history I am surprised he lasted as long as he did in the sport.

Should be banned for life.

What his motives were and what he hoped to achieve by doing that stupid act we will probably never know.
I hope he has a fall back job that he can do, as I'm sure his career as a motorcycle racer is now well and truly over, and deservedly so in my opinion.

This is easily as nasty, but it's Rossi, so it's OK ;)

It's definitely not ok, regardless of who you are, and I'm a Rossi fan, but pulling some ones front brake on is well over the top. (No pun intended)

Well you hooked me @Yorick :)
Sorry, was just tongue in cheek. I raced for many years and saw a lot of dodgy stuff. Some from me ;)

But pulling the front brake is just wrong. Even though there's no way he could have applied enough pressure to have any effect.

If my memory does not fail me didn't someone do something similar a few years back during a practice session and the rider went straight over the handlebars? He did it as a joke.

I think 20bar of pressure is a fair bit. That's what it produced according to the data logging!!!

That's fluid pressure to the disk I take it? Roughly 300psi.
A bit of Googling and between 20-50bar is usual.

Yeah pressure sensor at master cylinder. We run ours to motec dash with built in data logging. We have 8 sensor inputs and 15 channels we can record plus GPS so you can view everything for specific corners or areas.
