Just bought a lovely 2022 Autotrail F60 and fitted a TT tow bar (excellent fitting kit).

Decided not to buy the Transit electric loom as the cable run, cab drilling and bulkhead loom connections looked a lot more complicated than local lighting splicing to a bypass relay. Lots of space and wiring access at the back. Just need to run a fused 12v supply to the relay..

Saw some info on the EC176 Sargent habitat module on another post - wondered about the Tow fuses shown - one is D+? Whatever that means. Would be ideal to tap into any existing provision by Adria for tow bar power supply of course.

Anyone had any experience with this.

Thanks!

The wiring for the tow bar needs to have a 'canbus' relay to operate them all as otherwise faults will be thrown up all the time.

I've a '22 Auto-Trail campervan. Searching for wires I think I saw 20amp tow bar fuses in the van. Also got the Sargent EC176 like yours.
Dark and wet here, so get back tomorrow.

Correction - its the EM56 Sargent interface unit that has two possible fuses on it - Towing Permanent and Towing D+…

Thanks, yes, it has a Logicon relay as the bypass to prevent this.

Sargent EC176 no towing fuses.
Your comment about Adria? Thought you had Auto-Trail?

Wires from these fuses not accessible.

When chasing about, I found other dead connections tucked up. You may find similar around the rear lights?
End of my thoughts 😕.

Found another bit as some EM40's had different tow fuses 😊.
D+ apparently indicates towing with towed vehicle front wheels on ground. Requires additional facilities in towbar.
Have fun 😵‍💫.

Yes, it’s an Autotrail, and we have just changed it from the Adria Twin so still struggling to get my head round things!

My wife fines me £1 every time I say Campervan instead of Motorhome now.. she nearly has enough for a bottle of champagne and it’s only been a week! :)

The F60 and sister F Lines have an LM5 which is designed to be plug & play for tow ball electrics it also controls the rear LED lights & indicators.. There is a specific loom for it Which Tow Trust & Sargent sell.

We had the TT and loom fitted for £920 on our F70... for info, no F line requires chassis extensions as AT fit them at the factory. Only the strengthening plates are needed.
