Since 2015, still learning
is white bathroom sealant ok to use externally around the door (where it meets the surround meets the wal? Asking as I have some spare. If not, what’s best?

thanks,
Cush

Bathroom sealant would be intended for internal use. It may not be that durable when exposed to sunlight.

As for what is best are you simply trying to seal a leak, or do you need it to bond (stick) two surfaces together?

If its for the motorhome exterior then use sikaflex or RV61.

Definitely as above.

Silicone will peel after a spell of heat and look naff

Thanks all. It’s to fill a gap where old filler has gone. Don’t think there is a leak. Will look in to the recommendations.

any particular version of sikaflex. Would ebt be ok?
thanks again

Clear out as much as you can of the old, I have found that RV61 is easier to use and generally cheaper than sikaflex.
Sikaflex is however very good stuff.

Hi, I use Puraflex 40 to seal/stick anything on the van. Silicon should not be used anywhere in or on the van. It simply let's go and then peels off like a elastic band 😉
