I have noticed a few of our locks on the motorhome starting to stick a little. I read sometime ago on here not to use WD40. I have tried to find the thread but have had no luck. Was it more advisable to use Dry Silica or 3-1 instead of WD40?

I was told to use graphite powder on the key and put the key in and out of the lock a few times.

Ambersil lock lube is very good, it's graphite based, silicone spray works but not as good.

You are correct:

NEVER use WD40 on a lock!
It will fill the lock with sticky (fish) oil.

Graphite or Silicone based lubricants are the answer
