Anybody had experience of permanently exporting a vehicle from UK and what to expect in terms of a response from DVLA after one has submitted the relevant section of the V5c ?

Do they write to confirm recognition of the export?

I have already applied for a rebate of the VED for the unexpired period.

Do they write to the UK address or to the foreign address?

Any information from experience would be appreciated.

Hi Geoff,

When seguro parking in Spain matriculated my car. They dealt with the DVLA concerning export. It was all done for us.

VED was £50 a year and to be fair, I automatically got refunded that too.

Trevor

Thanks. Was there any official acknowledgement from DVLA that the vehicle had been exported, other than the refund?

When we did a px on our old van for a new one in Germany just filled V5C out for permanent export and never heard anything about it at all as far as I am aware they do not acknowledge it🤔:xThumb:
