I have already touched on this subject in "Introduce Yourself" and on mature reflection of the answers, That is to bring my old fiat hymer swing to Spain. I'm already a resident of Spain, and have a motorhome that I'd like to take there. I'm not a new resident so don't have that option of bringing it as part of my removal of chattels from one country to another.

I think that a lot of the confusion lies in the fact that now a vehicle from UK is considered to be from a 3rd nation. So firstly has to pay a high Customs Duty and also quite a high rate of IVA (VAT) I DONT MIND PAYING THIS, I'D JUST LIKE TO KNOW HOW TO CALCULATE IT

Another confusion is that this age of vehicle doesn't seem to have a certificate of conformity so that's another hurdle.

I hear that a Ficha Técnica could possibly be obtained in Spain but don't really know how to achieve it, and feel quite nervous.

Every so often someone tells me to sell in the UK. I could but it's the right camper for me, I chose it carefully. AND... the big habitation window is broken by my hamfisted granddaughter and has a bodgey mend so it won't get the bucks I'd need to replace it in Spain.

Indeed there's quite a few niggly bits of plastic casualties, the plastic runners for the blackout blinds seem to be vulnerable to breaking due to being weakened by UV, some Wally stood on the plastic bumper when getting onto the roof to strap on a kayak and cracked it,.... and the same plonker stood on the skylight over the loo. Which do far hasn't leaked but has a peripheral crack.

Anyway. I can crack on with those repairs, and would really appreciate any extra help to source a window, but I'd really like to take it home with me. I can't stay here much longer... So stressed tbh

if its left hand drive I dont see a problem, ref parts they should be easier to source abroad as there will be more of them about,
IVA station should be able to help re coc,
gus-lopez may be able to offer better advice
