My Gaslow's are getting a bit long in the tooth and in the quest for lightness I wondered if these may be a good alternative. Any experience or comments?

GasBank Cylinders

Safefill is another option.
If you would like to compare with GasBank, attend the next Woodside Field Rally in April when I know both examples will be on site.
I think these are Safefill but by another name but they can be installed much the same as Gaslow and the like.

Not so sure about that. Safefill use the same connector for fill and use. Gasbank have a seperate connector for each.

Alugas aluminium cylinders

I’m busy checking out Flogas Gaslight bottles in 10kg and 5kg 👍 exchange only
Not for me. I want refillables but if possible lighter than our current twin 11kg Gaslow units.

Yep. That was what I was trying and failing to convey. They have a GASLOW style valve system for installed filling.
We stock the Safefill and the Gasbank type with the separate filler connection .
Identical cylinder but you are correct about the valve being different.
Ours isn’t branded Gasbank but identical.
nabsim has one on his van
We also stock the Aluminium Augas cylinder which has several advantages over the other two, especially the gauge but also the excess flow valve.

Thanks.

We also have Alugas, as they are refillable I’ve no idea how much lighter they actually are but they at least sound lighter😂

Timely thread for me as my Alugas bottles are 10 years old this year so need a replacement/ retest of some from . Gaslow now do a 10 replacement service , Alugas doesn’t in the uk so maybe a light weight system as described would be the way to go accepting the fact that they will be scrapped after 10 years.

Not sure what you are looking at
I am looking at the kink in the red gas pipe as stated in the post I referenced.

Having read your post again, I think I may have misunderstood you. Sorry.
I now see the black pipe is kinked an awful lot more.
Having changed to a computer with a much better monitor.

Seems like overkill having two pigtails anyway. It's not a auto changeover regulator and the supply hose needs to be taken off to refill when empty. Why not just have one pigtail without the T piece with no kink and manually change the pigtail to the full bottle when the primary runs out.

It's simply easier to turn off the empty bottle and turn on the full one .
Especially first thing in the morning when it invariably runs out overnights - in the rain and while I'm still semi naked in my carpet slippers :swear2:
