I have these two items on the bunch of keys that came with the motorhome. When I asked the dealer what they were, the response I had was a bit vague. To me they look like something like an alarm or immobiliser solution.

There’s also a slot in the dash with a little led that the connection looking thing will fit into as well as what might be a control box in the engine bay.

There also appears to be a door open/close sensor on the hab door.

The fob with buttons has Gemini Spa on the back, as does the contraption in the engine bay. Having done a bit of googling I have reached the conclusion this is an alarm, but given I have no instructions on how to use etc, I’m a bit lost.

Can anyone give me an idiots guide to how it’s all supposed to work and also how I can check that it’s working as expected? Don’t want to set it off and wake the neighbours inadvertently if I don’t know how to then turn it off!

Thanks!

Do you have 'Lockdown' window stickers?
If so I have exactly the same and mine is a decommissioned Outsmart the Thief alarm tracker that I am in the process of trying to get live again.
I have owned my van for a year and have only just found out that the previous owners had the system decommissioned. It has never worked or caused me any false alarms etc but I want the tracking part for my insurance.
I have found the alarm box and its a Gemini system and I have the exact remotes you have.
I have tried pressing the remotes a few times over the months and nothing seems to happen.

No window stickers of any kind, so no clues there :(

The two round metal contacts on the base of the square one might sugest it makes contact with two similar 'studs' on your motorhome to make/break/reset an imobilisor or alarm. Have you had a good look round - perhaps under the dash to see if there are coresponding contacts anywhere?
I have a usb-type plug which does a similar thing

Tried to put the instructions above don’t know if you have that particular alarm but should give you some clues how it operates

I have one of the keys with two contacts on it as part of my Scorpion alarm. It is described as an “electronic touch key” and is used for emergency disarming the system. You insert it into the dash board contact and it disarms the system. It may have other functions on other alarm systems.
