It is a little early in the year yet and a long way for the majority of members to travel. It would be okay for me but I've ordered my new van and have nothing left to spend.....

Hi ...I was thinking of going to this but a I have been to shows previously and some are really small with few dealers exhibiting. Does anybody know how many exhibitors will be attending?

We'll probably go for a day. Be careful if it is really wet, the County show sank into the mud a year or so ago although they say they have improved things.

We went to the last motorhome show a months or two back and it wasn't worth the fuel or the entry fee.one to miss definatley Evan if you live next door.
Day was only saved by hot spud n curry in the Main cafe inside the venue

We are going for the day tomorrow. I did ask Appletree- exhibitions why no discounted entry but no real answer (£7.50 each). I'm picking up a couple of electric bike batteries from AS bikes, otherwise we would not have gone.

I may go, I've shown my dogs there in the past and a lot of work has been done there, alas if it's wet it can get muddy. like your pic Enword, my son races side car.

The January show is much much smaller. The bacon rolls are really good

Driver or passenger?

Been to Appletree at Exeter in the past and its a waste of money. No critical mass of dealers or accessories stands. I am only about 15 miles away and will certainly be giving it a miss!

It is what it is, a smallish local Motorhome show. We support it as it is local, if it were 200 miles from Van Bitz HQ would we exhibit? Probably not.

But with 80 odd exhibitors, with some of the biggest UK dealers exhibiting, it's a good way to look at Motorhomes without all of the hustle and bustle of a crowded NEC for example.

We enjoyed a great BBQ after the show last night, and tonight we will all be hotfootting it back to watch the rugby, so all in all a nice mix of business and pleasure for a lot of the traders here.

Made better in my opinion by a 10 AM opening.

Went along to the show yesterday plenty to look at, had a quick word at Vanbitz

Hi. We went to the show on Saturday. Yes it is small by some standards but are enjoyed the day out and spent a few Bob. Good curry lunch in the warm cafe on a cold day went down well. Good range of local dealers displaying their stock...we were not tempted! I did splash out on a new pair of crocks (or Chinese equivalent!!) We also picked up a couple of batteries from AS Bikes. Entry fee bit pricy compared to others at £7.50 each. Trouble is that being small there are not as many exhibitors paying their fees so visitor prices are higher which leads to less visitors. All a vicious circle.
All in all a good day.
Did anyone else go?
