According to the English language newspaper Costa Blanca News, there has been serious flooding in Jávea, with some campsites evacuated. Hope there aren't any Funsters seriously affected?

More than 300 people have had to be evacuated – 250 from El Naranjal campsite.

It's not just there either I saw a post on Facebook this morning with a massive flood in Benidorm

Nice down here as well just outside Lyndhurst in the New Forest. Not a drop of rain.

I Yes very lucky, when we purchased this apartment , we googled the storms of 2007, we was here that year so remember it, and found youtube footage all around these apartment blocks, and the block we have ours was OK, and having lived next to a river for 12 years, ;) we are used to life on the edge.
Although the camper stood in 2" of water.

But the other block suffered .

The next photo is over the road and the water escaped into the sea, that's @jollyrodger Mikes favourite bar, so our door must be a little bit above the prom. :whew:

It doesn't need this much water for Scallops to get flooded.
Yes we used it when it was on the front, (y) but not now, ;) you have to ask yourself how it's so cheap. Bob.

Hopefully see you there, we arrive on the 30th. I don’t know what depth it was flooded to but Bar Quo Vadis outside is requesting help to clean out the mess.

I guess the driver should have gone around!

It gets flood high up in the hills too, often due to poorly maintained culverts. There is a new urbanization that flooded because the drains have become blocked due to lack of council maintenance.

The Javea Council should add a few €uros to everyones council tax and sort the mess of the culverts and streets out.

The issues as far as I can see is that Javea town hall have allowed too much to be built around the back of the main Arenal. If you drive up-to Cuesta San Antonio or to the windmills. Look down and see the buildings that stop the flow of water to the sea.

That said, our friend lives in Golden Beach II. The underground carpark did not flood. Whilst a lot of others around did.
