Where is everyone. We have just boarded Brittany ferries Pont Avon at Roscoff and set sail for Plymouth after three weeks in Northern France We have never been on a ferry that has so few passengers on it. We were one of only three Motorhome’s on board and about 5 small pcv vans. Only counted 6 vans coming off in roscoff. The main lounge/bar area is empty. I thought travel to Europe was resuming. Also whilst travelling around all we really saw were French van and 4 Uk vans. Not complaining as it has ment a quiet uncrowded trip.

Well, here's hoping the Pompey to St Malo one is the same next Saturday then! Sounds great.
We feel as though it's been years since going away last - I'm even feeling a little aprehensive, especially as we have a "new" van for this trip as well.
Anyone else off to France next weekend?
Cb.

First trip to France at the weekend following lockdown. Newhaven- Dieppe then first night at Neufchatel en Bray.

Well my reminder app tells me it’s just seven days before we are off. Dover to Calais, three years to the day since our last trip. Boy have we missed it.

Perhaps the BF prices have something to do with it?
I have just realised that I should cancel our Bilbao ferry! It's a Flexi so we will get 75% back, hopefully...😃

We came over yesterday, Pompey to Caen, less than 40 cars on there, never seen so empty !!!

Interesting, any MHF guys booked n the 08.15 BF ferry from Pompey to Caen on May 11th?

I had a five hour flight on a Boeing 747 with myself and three others being the only passengers.

It wasn't a question of what seat you wanted, more what section of the plane do you want?

The other three, two parents and a child, parents were smokers, elected for the First Class cabin, so I settled in the rear cabin as far away as I could get!

It was a good choice as most of the crew were snuggled up back there. Wonderful service.

What I didn't mention was that even with the few cars on board, we were still almost an hour getting thro' the port !!!!! and the food on board was as bad as I've known..... normally we go in the restaurant and its lovely...... thats been shut for 2years, so only self service open......... the food was being kept warm for hours and no-one buying !!!!!!... don't normally knock B.F. but sorry, not good at the moment !!!!! ( have written and told them )

When I came back on the same route on the 2nd April I thought it was my personal ship and the captain was my chauffeur, they were glad to see me in the restaurant for dinner…. But seriously I think there was about fifty people on the boat…

Touring Devon and Cornwell currently beautiful countryside and very spacious pitches.
Ferry cost out of UK means we will probably spend UK touring more

About 150 cars on last nights ferry, not bad, resurant not too cramped.

Sailed out on the Galacia, from Portsmouth/Sanander, absolutely average facilities, but busy. Came back on the Pont Avon Santander/Plymouth busy but far better facilities apart from a bit dated. Out January, back April.
