Hi There everyone Just pulled into a car park with the engine running and a beeping sound started, 3 short beeps the a longer one after looking for the location, I found it was coming from the EM50 intelligent interface adapter. This only beeps with the engine running.
As I’m sure you know this has various fuses in it. I removed the 2 amp fuse which is the feed to this box and the beeping stopped.
I have removed all the fuses and checked them with a meter and all seem ok.
Everything in the habitation area seems to be working ok.
I can’t run with that beeping sound all the time, have you good people got any suggestions?
many Thanks Tony

I cannot help Tony I’m afraid, but hopefully someone will be able to input here.
Good luck

For a minute there I thought this was a thread about a new route around the East Midlands that could be completed without the need for anyone to take any leave (or food with them for that matter!). A sort of Friday evening tour. ?

Ian

as I recall there are a couple of relays inside

just a thought have you a retractable step not quite engaged

probably way off the mark

( my works van was recovered for that very problem in my defence I was
never told about the warning buzzer on a manual step !!!! )

It is possible it thinks the step is still out. A switch on the step is operated when the step is in. The switch may have shorted - or been affected by salt.

You say that the noise started when you parked with the engine still running. It wasn't beeping when you were moving? Handbrake??

Hi tofo I’ll have a look at that, I’ve had some trouble with that step before sticking out, when I had the habitation check done I asked them to look at it but they did not find any problems. It’s an intermittent problem, I hate those. Best wishes Tony

I'm no expert on the EM50 but I found this.
Thanks for that not sure how it’s going to help me but I do appreciate you finding it for me. Best Wishes Tony

If everything seems to be ok inside, check outside... step, awning light etc
Hi Langtoftlad I think the next port of call is check the step out. Best Wishes Tony

Hi Bognor Saint It started as soon as I turned into the car park, I was still moving and had not applied the handbrake, but I did check it out and light goes out when brake disengaged. Best Wishes Tony

Hi Everyone it’s Sorted it’s Sorted it’s Sorted it’s Sorted. Thanks to everyone who helped me on this one, It turned out to be the step  again, as I said I’ve had problems with this step before, I’m not going to beat about the bush the next time it’s in the workshop it’s getting a new complete step and mechanism. The problem was as someone said the step was not activating the switch, indicating to the EM50 that the step was not fully retracted. I’ve disconnected the arm to the motor and cable tied the step closed. I’ll have to use a small step up which I have with me. Thanks once again MH Fun to the rescue. Best Wishes Tony

Thanks for this thread - my step is stuck out and the EM50 is beeping so probably a warning about it being out

Now to work out why the step is stuck out as the fuses seem ok
