Hi

Just bought a sound bar for the TV and thought I would test it out. We have a 12v feed for the TV and I think a 2nd one with a different size but not 100% sure it is as my multi meter went kaput today so cannot test.

I have one of the below spare which i think is 12v DIN socket but it says 240v on the cable cover on the back but front says 12/24v so wanting to make sure.

Shall I change for one of the below or is it cheaper/easier to get an adapter, seen the Berker ones for £20 so that may be best if not easiest.

That is a 12v Outlet. Plugs are available Hella type

If it says 240 v on the back is it a mains transformer.?

Hella plugs & sockets are much better than the cigar lighter type. I would fit a Hella plug on your lead, much better than using an adaptor.

Agreed with Lennie, Hella plugs have a positive lock into the socket and can't shake/vibrate loose like cig sockets.
Plus they can carry a higher amperage, up to 20a I think, if wiring and the need to are sufficient

Update, plug fitted (though -ve screw thread a bit loose so may need some solder) and all working. Just need a 270 degree HDMI cable as the straight one will not allow the screen mount to close as it sticks out so ordered on eon Amazon.

Must say from my limited test the sound is a million times better than the normal TV and saves us connecting our Bose BT speaker.
