Mobilvetta onDuccato
Hi Folks, My first time here, thanks Jim for the welcome.
I recently purcheased a 1999 Mobilvetta design motorhome. Its on a Fiat 2.5 TD Ducatto. Neith cab windows are working, switch seams to work but no window sensor is dead. Ive searched for replacements no luck, even took it to a fiat dealer who said the doors are not from Fiat and parts must be from the coachbuilder mobilvetta. I contacted Mobilvetta in NL but no luck.
Any ideas, the window aperatus/mechanisms are somewhat different from Ducatto's Ive seen. Trying to put this on Dutch plates, but need to have servicable windows - Any help and suggestions greatly appreciated.

Thanks stay safe and well, Joe

Time for the circuit tester. Test fuse first then switch if all ok need to get to the motors and test then perhaps 12v power direct. I assume there are no clicks humming when you try to open?

Thanks Clivefog,
only clicking is frommfuse box nothing from either motor. Have dimantled drivers side sensor and will bench test circuit, but I do fear the worst!

Thank you

Probably a relay, but you can check the motors by putting power to them direct. Then it is a case of getting a meter and tracing the wiring to find where power stops. I fixed one a while back where the fault was in the original door loom and had to rewire it with a new fused feed

Should you prove power to the motors I would suspect that they are the base vehicle units, either way a generic motor can be found.

Hi
Inspect the wiring at the door hinge area. Converters don't always make a very good job of routing cables in this critical area and this can lead to chafing and/or fatigue.

Hi. I had the same problem on my 2005 Fiat Ducato. After testing the motor, cables etc in the door panel, the problem was a bad connection on the wiring connector block under the dash as it comes from the door hinge side.
