Everyone I need some advice I have the electric dump valve fitted to my van and its taking to dumping when it chooses. I think there is a problem with the connections as when I jiggle the cables that seems to activate it, but that's about as far as my technical skill/knowledge goes.

I know I can put a clip under it to stop the valve from opening but wondering if its easier to replace with the manual one as truma discontinued this one.

Any thoughts please Rich

Have you got a friend who could have a look as if it is just the connections or wires going to it it may be an easy fix.
The mecanical ones are better as they don't dump until the temp is down to 3 deg, but pricey, around £100.

Hi, have the same problem, a clothes peg and nail solve it. I put them when filling with water, then remove when dumping. Simples!!

It was regonised as a fault a year or so ago after I fitted a new boiler to a friends van and Magnums gave me a manual one as a replacement.Never did fit it.
