Hi

I have a Elddis Autoquest 130 and have this button on the dash - just forward of the clipboard “thingy”.

I have an after market alarm fitted and thought it perhaps was a flashing beacon but it doesn’t flash, light up, or do anything, (that I can see).

I wondered if anybody else has one and what is it.

Thanks in advance.

Sun sensor for the climate control system, I think.

If you haven't got the climate control system, it's the cover where the sun sensor for the climate control system would be. :)

Many thanks. I don’t have climate (unfortunately).

That is where the light sensor usually is.

I was pretty sure the auto headlight sensor (if fitted) was in the black bit top centre of the windscreen...

The "solar sensor" for the climate control (or blanking plug for same if climate control isn't fitted) is front centre on top of the dash.

Thanks, but not got auto headlight either, although I agree, the sensor is usually in the black mass on the windscreen where the rear view mirror sits.

It could be part of your alarm. For many years they normally fitted two sensors mounted near the top of the front windscreen side pillars but this single unit could be replacing them.
None of the alarm sensors fitted near our windscreen flashed in the past so expecting the same here as could be classed as a distraction.
