I have a question.

On several aires I have seen in France there is usually an option for EHU.

It 'usually'? costs in the region of €2 for an hours supply.

Here comes the question. What you do with an hours lekky supply noting that is rarely more than 6amps.
Its hardly sufficient to get the George Foreman or electric hob out.
Its not long enough to charge a battery. Over to you well travelled lot.

Yet to encounter an aire with the option of only an hours worth of EHU.

I've stopped at a couple that have EHU included in the price, so not an issue, but only one free aire that had EHU hook up points; Prahec, south of Poitiers.
Room for about 16 vans, 2 EHU posts that support 4 supplies each, so it's first come first served.

I seem to recall the site at Puy Du Fou had some ehu posts, operated by purchasing a token. Can't remember the ampage but it only lasted an hour. Seemed mainly used for hair dryers and charging batteries.

I’ve seen and used them. Normally the one hour thing is when the only electric supply is on the bourne machine.

Was for hairdryer and straighteners for wife.

But obviously we could have purchased/used more tokens and got multiple hours worth.

Few years now
Most Aires we have stopped in on this trip it has been included for the whole time we are there. Wouldn't bother plugging in unless it was for the full stay.

My advice, don’t bother Derek… pointless exercise.
C'mon, I'm a Tyke with a Scots mother.
They've got two chances of me putting my hand in my pocket.

Were very useful for our friends who had a problem with their battery and no solar, that hour could make all the difference between staying on sites and using aires, we alternated.
