it is possible to 'buy' an account with positive feedback and use it for scams

I guess everything is available at a price. The owner can always say they have been hacked!

just had that same problem,,saw a lovely mh and messaged to ask the price(as £3,50 stated) £4,800 was the reply from a strange email address,it started with ,,office?? then was told if i wanted the mh i couldnt see it as the seller had to relocate to scotland for work purposes,but as it was a bargain i should pay ,,my money would be safe i was told,lol and apparently ebay through paypal would give me my money back !! and whats more i had the very same email back about 2 weeks ago when i enquired about another one ! Just have to be carefull i guess,,,,,
