E mount Zoom lens dilemma (1 Viewer)

I’ve got a Sony Alpha 6300 and it appears the 18-200 lens has packed up. It won’t focus anymore and makes strange noises. So looking for replacement recommendations. Its for versatility and convenience so only want the one lens, and of course having a decent zoom.
For landscapes my iPhone 11 is adequate If not better!
Alternatively do I sell the body and buy a good compact with zoom?

I have the Tamron 28-200mm F/2.8-5.6 Di III RXD.
works well so far.

I had a few lenses on my A6000. The only one that consistently blew the phone away was a 35mm prime.

My old gig compact camera was full of dust so I bought a new one.
A Panasonic LUMIX DC-TZ95

The picture controls on it are like my DSLR!
Even has an easy manual focus ring
It’s early days but other than sensor size, my DSLR may be redundant.
Iirc, I’ve a 24-720 zoom range in my pocket
