I posted this thread (below) in 2018 and thought I had found a solution to the problem as mentioned later in the conversation. Well the problem has raised its ugly head again! Its the exact same problem as before - starts as normal, runs for 5 minutes then switches itself off. Once running there is nothing wrong with the performance of the unit so I am reluctant to replace with new in case the same thing happens. Had a mobile tech to look at it and he couldn't find a solution but suggested that it was a hardware issue and that it needed an update to the latest version. Did this and the problem is still there. Thought I would seek help again from our clever community to see if there are any further suggestions to help resolve the problem. Thanks

Having a problem with the radio/sat nav unit. The unit is a Dynavin N6 DC and the unit starts and reboots as normal. It will then run for approximately 5 minutes before switching itself off as if the power supply is being cut off. However it will restart again immediately by pressing the on button and then repeats the same process of switching off after exactly 5 minutes. This happens whether it is on the radio, sat nav, ignition on or off or with the engine running. I think the unit is fairly new but is not the original factory fitted one. Please can anyone help with this problem or advise on how to remove the unit from the dash. The base vehicle is a Fiat Ducato. Thanks

I have a similar problem with our head unit it’s a Zenec and I discovered that the main multi plug on the back which has lots of cables in including the power was hanging from the unit and plug just swinging around, some of the pins were a really poor fit so tightened them all by squeezing the socket receipts of each one with thin nosed pliers then I have strapped the plug to a cross member to stop it moving about.
it has worked but I feel I am going to have to put a new connector on as every so often when on a trip it cuts out for a few seconds and then comes on again.
I originally thought it was the sat nav cutting in to announce the route but I don’t use the built in sat nav and switched it off. Problem still exists so changing connector when I can source one.😊

I don’t think this is the problem with our unit as all the connectors have been checked and are good. The power supply has also been checked and is constant. It’s a mystery
