Dvla & v5

Hi all, today I’ve received from dvla a new v5 document. I’ve owned the van for 9 years and nothing’s changed and v5 looks the same as the old one.

Does anyone know if dvla are renewing v5’s?
Has anyone else received a new v5?

Seems strange.

Might be worth contacting DVLA, online chat or something, just to reassure you it's not scam related

I thought it was strange, envelope from dvla looks genuine. Looked up details online and says new v5 issued December 22 but why? Will try and contact them in new year. Thanks.

Just an update on the v5 puzzle.
Received a letter from dvla saying there was an anomaly with the vans details after having it mot’d. The old v5 started zfaz44 instead of zfa244. Never noticed it before.
