Recently changed to a new laptop, the old one was solely used to rip my own, shop bought DVDs.

The films are stored onto our WD My Cloud and we can access them on any of the tvs in the house and also on our phones and tablets

The Borosoft dvd ripping program that I bought needs re-installed. Before I do this, I wondered if anyone can recommend a nice and simple idiot proof one that rips & shrinks the file in one simple click without too much faffing about. I dont mind paying for a good one.

The Borosoft is ok but creates a file of about 6gb.

We also use Amazon Prime & Netflix but I do enjoy a charity shop rummage through their piles of dvds as well. Just wish they would stack them horizontally, save my neck getting stiff

I use an old copy of DVD Decrypter to get an ISO of my DVD onto the NAS.

Edit. Which isn’t doing too much of the compression you mention needing. I’ll have to look again 🤔
