I've just took deliver of my brand new Adria Matrix Supreme 2019 model, made on a Ducato 150cv. The Ducato vehicle was made around mid 2018 based on VIN and Fiat information, plus it seems to be type 250 based on the CoC, so I'm very confused because:

- Does type 250 means it's a Ducato x250?
- If so, didn't x250 manufacturing stop on 2014?
- If both were still made, what's the difference?

Ignore the 250 bit as ours is an X290 model (slitty headlights) but has 250 on the VIN etc, I suspect because the X290 is more of a facelift version with some tweaks, rather than a completely newly designed one, they just kept the old VIN numbers going.

That makes sense, but it's confusing, isn't?

Possibly so they don't have to get a re-certification (or whatever it's called)?

Agree, if it confuses us imagine how badly it confuses the poor uneducated motorhome sales staff!

How do you tell from the VIN Plate the date of manufacture.
Thanks

Interested in this as we are awaiting delivery of the same motorhome. Apart from the issue mentioned how is the van ? Ours is the DC version.

Well, that'd actually not an issue but just a curiosity because the Ducato is last model and I know it was made on mid 2018, so everything is really brand new.

The MOHO is aaaaaaaawesome, I've took deliver of it one week ago and still cannot believe it. It's realy confortble and a pleasure live in it.

So far very happy, it's very equiped and well done.

Just out of interest where did you order it and when did you order it. I ordered mine over two weeks ago and was told it would be a 2 week delivery. Can't see it being that quick but was wondering what to expect.

Exactly as Minxy's says! Ours is an X290, but says X250 on some of the documents.

And I'm sure her suggestion of the reason it is like that, is correct too.

Yes, slightly confusing, but nothing to be concerned about - you've got the latest X290 model. (y)

Not sure that you can now, there is a way to check them but I couldn't find a 'decoding' website that was accurate. You'd have to ring Fiat to ask them to check the records for you.

I've alfeady found it, plus in the CoC Fiat said was made on mid 2018.

Lovely MH good build quality. Our's is the SL model. the only minor issue is there's no micro wave.

So, I've got some one inside Fiat produced a features document using the VIN number and it sais my Ducato is: 290B5X6 Ducato Serie 4 DUC.36,5 FG-ST/L 150 MJ

So cristal clear it's a x290

I've got mine at Valencia (Spain). It was a demo one, so the delivery was just about retrofix some options and paperwork.

In my case having no microwave is not an issue because we don't want one. On the another hand we find more usefull the oven.
